Art of the people, by the people, for the people

The city of Bengaluru, is a melting pot of different cultures and ideologies and hence expressions and opinions also remain diverse. The city's walls are just a medium for the artists to transform the Metropolitan space into a hub of beautiful imagery.

Artistic expression is a form of freedom that is crucial at the times of political and social turmoil.

Street art is an essential form of public art form created in spaces that are not traditional to art canvases. The walls are sprayed with paints and images that are usually a reflection of the society's political situations or opinions of the artists and sometimes just for the beauty of art.

The Gallery of Artwork

From MG road to Malleshwaram, Bengaluru houses many murals and graffiti walls that speak for themselves. The mural at Church Street by french artist Marko 93 has reflective eyes giving it a modern touch while Kochi based graffiti artist Guesswho’s art at the same street is beautifully capturing.

Street art aids the process of manifestation of beliefs.

A peaceful getaway from the hustling city of Bengaluru can also be taken at the sidewalk transformed into art house,i.e, Rangoli Metro Art Center, an initiative by the Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited., that stretches across the MG Road promenade.

This list of revolutionary art pieces remains umpteen while Bengaluru’s spaces grow creatively and effectively every day.

Street art in any form,i.e.,theatre, graffiti, murals etc., is the the spark of a discussion or the answer to one. The freedom and unity found in this form of artistic expression tends to be essential for survival in today’s world.
